Need to raise some start up capital for web design!

hey everyone

i am setting up a new website, and contacted a few web design websites, all quoting around £3000 for my new website.

I really need to raise, hopefully £3500 (£3000 for design, £500 for initial marketing) quite quickly.

has anyone got any legitimate ideas?

any help would be great

thanks
joe

p.s. i am only 15! (it is YOUNG entrepreneurs)

in the UK you need to be 16 or older to get a job. unless its a paper round, but they earn about £10 a week, which will take me 7 years to raise £3500.

anyone got any other ideas?

Quiteshirty.com, I think the problem that you're facing is that you're asking for an investment in something that most people take the time to learn to do themselves (that is, when they don't have the money to do something). You're 15. A little web project would be a great hobby to learn how to code, create graphics, do a little database design, etc. Asking for 3500pounds (which I think is roughly $6k USD?) is a lot of money, even if you weren't as young as you are.

Seriously, go out, buy a couple of books, download a HTML editor and Gimpshop, and ask your mom or dad to help you get a hosting account setup. Learn to do it yourself, and if your idea hits, you can enjoy the rewards without having to pay anyone else back.

Cheers,

why are you all treating me like im some kind of baby. im not asking anyone for money, im asking for a few ideas. i have already created 2 successful businesses. one of them was a website selling t-shirt transfer paper, using ekmpowershop, then i went on to set up http://www.quiteshirty.com all coded by myself using dreamweaver, all worked out quite nicely.

i have dreamweaver, its just this website requires, and i quote from a professional web designer whom i contacted "obviously this is quote a complicated back end database system, so prices arent going to be cheap"

it is complicated PHP and mysql databases, with large amounts of data, also user login panels. if any other 15 year olds are capable of designing that themselves please let me know, but i think its something more for a professional.
