We are looking for $60,000 start up capital for HP Headwear which will create and run PimpMyHat.com and HatPimp.com. These sites will focus on selling custom made hats to the younger urban consumers. PimpMyHat.com will allow users to create there own custom hat using our interactive online hat creation system. Users will be able to select form our own stock images and choose there own text or use there own images and create hats online. Users will then be able to order there hats in any quantity from 1-??? Users who use there own images will also be able to sell there hats online and receive a profit for each hat that is sold. We have many ideas for expansion beyond the web and have a detailed business plan laid out. The start up capital is needed for the leasing of the embroidery machines, designing of the web site, buying the initial stock inventory and marketing expenses. We are very serious about this and have got some small investors willing to invest but really can not afford to be underfunded right off the bat. boss, you should read other threads in the "Looking for Capital/Biz Partners" section, and not repeat the mistakes others have made

right now, you've broken the golden rule of capital seekers

hence, don't expect much results

there's nothing wrong with the site

debt is a good instrument in lots of circumstances

for example, supplementing a working capital deficit

is debt a good instrument for seed finance?

No

in other words, the financial instrument you're suggesting does not match the current needs of PimpMyHat.com

please, lets have a good forum, pay a little attention to things like that, so that entrepreneurs can enjoy quality advice

Thanks for all your replies so far.
I have researched a lot into raising capital but still am really lost. I tried the family and friends route with little luck. I posted requests on as many free boards such as this one and got mostly spam or scam replies.
I have a honest buisness that is unique and has a very good chance of being profitable.
Can any of you recommend any of the pay web sites such as www.gobignetwork.com? I have thought of paying them for a month and seeing what kind of response I get.

Any more help, thoughts or better yet investors would be great.

What is your competitive advantage? And don't say brand, because you don't have one yet (an established one).

Our competitive advantage is the fact that we will produce any quantity from 1-???. All other sites or companies that even offer this service normally require you to buy a min order. We also will have the stock graphics being constantly designed by a in house design team not just bought from a catalog like ever other custom clothing company online. We also only are going to be using the top quality blank hats that are rarely used by any custom hat company. We also will have the only store online that is hat specific and has a hat specific custom hat store for our customers to sell the hats they create on. Ohh and our name is easily remembered by our core audience. We have a few other competitive advantages planned for the future of the company as well that I do not want to list here.

We just need a investor now.
