hey BM,
You probably have realized by now that you may not be able to find the answers that you're hoping to get on these forums. These forums have recently become a place where some would try to make you feel bad, worthless, and that your idea may not be good.
Here is my point. Look at what everybody has suggested above or below, take in what you want and spit out what doesn't taste good to you, and then move on, but no matter what other say or have said above or thereafter, don't let these comments kill your dream.
I understand you perfectly, and feel how you feel, given your situation and circumstances, but don't let that tear you down and stop dreaming. Keep on trying, don't give up, but may be asking for help on these forums with your needs, may not be a good idea, because of what or how other may respond to your questions.
On here, you will receive all kinds of answers, some are favorable, some are not; but they all may be good for educational purposes but don't let that discourage you from pursuing your dream.
I don't know how I can help, if I can, I will, in any way, just PM me if you want to.

getting those blemishes off your credit aren't as hard as you think. go find a reputable person, pay the $500 bucks and then you'll qualify for some start up money. its out there if you know where to look.

Start with your business plan and just shop it around. If nothing else, the worst someone can say is "No," right?

Can you guarantee this? How long would it take?
Does anyone have references to paying 500.00 to diminish all the bad credit blemishes?
Also I recently as in yesterday read that it was not wise to borrow from family or friends. In fact, I remember where I read that..

Although I'm not sure I can advocate Prosper.com from a Lender's perspective, I do have to say it appears to be an attractive option for people looking for funding up to $25k, regardless of past credit problems. The interest rates are fairly competitive. And the more information you can provide in the listing to substantiate your ability to repay the loan, the more people will want to fund it...driving your interest rate down.

Prosper is not an attractive option regardless of past credit problems. You must have a a minimum ScoreX credit score to even be allowed to list on Prosper, and borrowers with low credit grades get horrible interest rates of 25-30%. Plus if you are in a bad credit grade, it is very difficult to even get funding for anywhere close to $25k.
But you can go to prosper and fill out the borrower forms and find out your credit grade for free. At least you will know where you stand.

Anyone have information regarding whether a limited liability company can seek funding on Prosper without any personal guarantee by its members?

hey guys thanks for the more positive feed back, creative idealist,- chuff1026 has been pretty helpful to me so far, i would atleast talk with him.
Uskos thank you for the positive reinforcement.
I have no plans of quitting, theres too much riding on this idea.
but i dont mind paying the 25-30% interest. i would expect to pay a little more in interest being in the situation im in.
my idea will make more then enough money to return the loan plus interest in 6-8 months.
im going to check out some of the other options that have been suggested.
thank you all for your help!

Hey BM,
Just wondering...would it be possible to get some money out of your credit cards? I know you say you have bad credit and you'll definitely need to fix that, but if your so sure you'll have a return in 6-8 months, then why don't you get money from there.
It's just a thought. Personally, I wouldn't want to max out my own credit cards, but I'm only mentioning this because you seem to be in a bind and are in need of money. And if you are going to "guarantee" that quick of a return, then why not take the risk on your own credit. Once you get the money back you can quickly pay those cards down and then start to fix your credit.
Like I said, it's not the way I would go, but mabe it's an option.
