For the last year or so I have been developing a new web 2.0 project which is similar to www.stumbleupon.com but uses some new ideas.

Although I have done all the design work my programming skills havn't been able to achieve everything I want and instead of releasing a half finished website I wish to look for some funding in order to higher a freelance scripter.

In return for funding I will split a percentage of the profits with the investor.

To complete the project I am only looking for $400 - $1000 and I strongly believe this will be very profitable - but I will let you be the judge of that!

for a miserly 1k you can end up giving away a huge bit a what can grow into a killer startup

it's irresponsible to shareholder rights.

akula - im afraid im going to have to say you are wrong. For someone who "seems" to know what they are talking about you really make no sense at all.

I dont care if I end up giving away 90% of the profits if thats what it takes, as I am doing this for the pleasure of creating a really useful website. Passion is someone lacking into todays business world.

I have had a lot of experience in start ups and I know what I am doing so maybe next time you call me a whack job you try and understand what I am doing
