Response on starting a collection agency

Hello,

I have recently undergone starting a collection agency and have secured funding for my first debt purchase. To be honest the licensing was tougher than getting funding to purchase debt.

The licensing was a pain, I obtained the secretary of state licensing, dba, federal tax id, then the department of commerce was VERY detailed. Had to give financial data, set up operational and trust accounts, establish business address, establish dedicated business line, pay over 1k, then wait over a month for approval.

To be honest the hardest part is the selling to new clients. You can purchase debt pretty easily from a number of brokers (debt clearing house is one that I've been talking to).

Even though I'm in the midwest maybe we should talk if you have any interest I'd be happy to pass on what I've learned and maybe do something with you to help get you started. Company website is nationalcollectionbureau.com.
