Looking for Business Partner in new venture (Vancouver, Canada)
Hello everyone!
I'm looking at creating a growth-focused organization. My first task is finding a business partner who brings enthusiasm and drive. I would be looking for someone who is serious, and willing to give long nights and weekends towards the company. This would be a great opportunity for anyone who has always been interested in getting started with their own business but have not had the idea. I'm a young entrepreneur, looking for a business partner. Anyone interested in making a million?
Thank you,
Michael

Hi Michael
Do you already have an idea? Have you begun bootstrapping yourself? What industry are you targeting? You didn't really give much information there.

In the great words of Jim Collins author of 'Good to Great.' "First Who, Then What." It’s not important what type of business I'm looking at. I'm not a trade’s person looking to create a business on a course for failure. I'm looking at starting an organization that is profitable, and diverse...
Sony was created this way; several innovative people got together and said, "What should we sell." They are the leader in every industry they touch...
Investment is always required... in this case, money is not the investment...
time, and energy are the investment.
Hope this helps, and clears things up...
If you get a business partner on the basis that you are selling bananas and you figure out bananas are not profitable. All of a sudden you have a business partner stuck on the idea of banana. I want a business partner for life. Someone that will go from venture to venture. A sort of marriage of business.

I think you need to determine what YOU want, not have someone deviate your destiny for you; Especially as an entrepreneur. That's the whole point.

This forum was not created to hear how you interpret my request. I have many business ideas... The point of this forum is not to get feedback on an idea that I have... It’s finding a business partner.
Thank you.

I agree with you. How can we get in touch?
I live in Miami, Florida. I agree in that an idea is important but I also think that the simplest idea executed by the appropriate people in the appropriate way is what really makes a difference. Where can I reach you?

Yeah, it’s not the idea that makes a company successful, it’s the people behind that idea, that brand...

I believe you are dangerously generalizing how Sony got started. There are a lot of feel-good, motivational books and programs that take little snippets like this to redirect your brain to believe something that is not 100% true. Did this quote come from one fo them? Just curious.

Very interesting concept. You get points in my book for being unconventional.

Michael, I'm not interested, but if you want to find somebody worthwhile you have to be more specific..coming onto a business site looking for someone that is passionate, enthusiastic and driven is like going onto a dating site saying you're looking for someone funny, smart, and beautiful...it won't work, those are very arbitrary qualities.
Say what experience level, education level, and interests you're looking for in people...it will weed out the nonsense a lot faster.
