Invitation to join Advisory Board

Hello

I am re-posting this thread here as per the advice of Luc. Its earlier location is here

My name is Paul Linder and I am the Vice President of ClipsID Video Streaming, an online web system that we have developed from scratch based on the seed of an idea. ClipsID development is over and the system is deployed.

Now we are at the cross roads of the next stage, where in we should test the developed system for its functionalities, professionalism and ease of use. Since we are the developers, the large amount of testing we have done cannot be justified as the best efforts that we could give the system. We feel that if we could form a small community of users/enthusiasts who would actively involve in this testing phase, we are sure the system could be made completly robust and could be taken to the market.

What I am looking for here?
I need members for ClipsID's Advisory Board - members experienced with making online systems a success in market.

All the leading contributors would be getting an one-time share of the profits of this online system, after the marketing campaign is launched in January 2007. We would be allocating 10% of the profits for this purpose alone. The profits will be calculated on a half yearly basis and pay-out will be through PayPal. We can enter into an agreement with each contributor based on the same.

We have already started a Yahoo Groups community whose link is provided in my signature. We invite you to join ClipsID Community.

If you review the system, you will see the highly potential features that will be a revolutionary concept in the online advertisement arena like Self Video Banner creation, Video Newsletter creation etc.

I urge you to join this community and help in whatever way you can to make the ClipsID system much more professional and user-friendly.

I appreciate the time you have invested in reading this long mail and I am sure that every minute of this will be worth it.

Roles of the Advisory Board Member

The Roles of this Advisory Board Member:

1. Have a detailed run of the entire system as a basic user (Like Black Box Testing)

2. Instruct the technical team as what you feel wrong about it

3. Suggest what to do to improve the site in terms of user friendliness

Could this turn into a big YouTube? I believe you are trying to be a sort of "free commercial" for businesses. Could it be misused?

There is a paradigm difference between ClipsID and YouTube. Youtube works on a concept of public video sharing for anyone to watch anything, where in ClipsID is a concept where we are much more focusing towards the individuality of the video uploaded. For example if you have uploaded in YouTube, your video is lost in the jungle of the other videos. How can you share it with someone else over telephone for example. ClipsID is more like an email id for your video, that is an unique number which you could share with anyone around the globe. Youtube does not allow you to create Video Banners, Video Newsletters or they dont allow you to link your business/ecommerce systems to your video. ClipsID allows you to link your websites/emails ids/online auction items/blogs/profiles etc to your video. So when you are sharing your ClipsID you will be sharing all the other related items.

And we are not completly FREE!! ClipsID do have paid accounts too.

Best Regards
Paul
