interesting in apparel business

i want to do apparel business with people in usa,
or find some friends who have the same aspiration in this industry and do it together.

Currently in shanghai China, I can get many good quality & nice looking apparel like jacket, jeans, shirts with good price. By the I way, I dislike doing fake branding business.

Hope to do it together.

Can you get custom apparell? Like if you had t-shirt designs could you get them mass produced? Also what is the minimum amount that they wil create for you?

yes, if you had your t-shirt designs, I can negotiate with the factory to mass produced, as well as the minimum amount.

Ok what role would you be intrested in taking on? I have several designs in a sketch book of T-shirts, Polo shirts, and a few scarves. But I was planning on getting some sort of computer fashion design software then transfering the sketches onto the computer and adding all the details like measurements and so on. Then I would need to send the final product information to manufactures to have them made.

Ok for example lets try this scenario. I send you the design plan's for a red t-shirt with some sort of graphic on the front. You have all the measurments, sizes, colors, and quantities of that item. We order 50 of the shirts to be made we pay about $5 per shirt so the total is. $300 we sell the shirts for $20 each the profit is $1000.

$1000 - Total profit after selling 50 shirts
-$300 - 50 more shirts
$700 - Profit

How much of a cut would you want?

aroud 2/7 if possbile, frankly speeking, what i hope is I can do business successfully with partner or customer. and I think you will understand what I mean.

What does 2/7 mean? What if I sent you the design plan's and then you sent them to manufactures and then once they are finished you sent the products to me in the usa and I put them on the website of the company?

okay, I understand your idea, 2/7 just means in the scenario: if you can get $700 profits finally, i want have 150$-200$'s cutting in the profits, is that alright?

does everyone think that low price is the key factor for business? at least i will not choose the lowest one, because that probably means bad quality; of course i will not choose the highest one, as we have to save our cost,
