Hello.
I am looking for an investor. I wanna produce my first adult movie and I need about 5000 USD for the start. In Romania there is a huge demand for romanian adult movies. There are only 4-5 producers in the whole country (22 million people) and they are producing 30-40 movies per year. Compare that with neighbouring Hungary (10 million) with it's capital Budapest that became a porn capital...producing around 500 movies per year.

I am willing to sell 50% of the company for 5000 USD and split profits. I have all the crue (all between 18-25 years old and enthusiastic).

so how did you go finding investors? it's probably a lot easier and more beneficial to become an affiliate or distributor of porn... there are plenty of opportunities including a new one that has surfaced: AllXClub Member Center

Haha, love all of the potential puns in that post. I'm not sure where you got your statistics from, but there is plenty of adult video coming out of Romania -- it's just not produced or marketed locally. Big studios go there to get talent, film 1/2 of the movie there, then use it in their own reels back home.

It'll take more that $5,000 to produce anything that'll sell. Nowadays it is too easy for someone to get online and see porn for Free. It's not as easy as buying a MiniDV camera for cheap ($200), paying an actress ($50 in those parts), burning a bunch of copies (with home-made labels! $200), and hiring some volunteer 'crue' members (I'm assuming that's what you meant by using the term 'virgin'). Let's see.. that's $450 down, and $4550 to go... So even if this tanks, you still make the equivalent of a year's salary!

Paul, you are wrong!!!
It takes much more to produce proper porn video clip than $450. There is lighting, editing, etc costs and even if you are getting one actor for $50, it takes at least two to make a porn!!!
To get to the market, you need to have at least three to five series of similar style clips available before it does make any sense for any distribution. You cant sell porn DVDs in the street!!!
So, I assume $5K is minimum to get to this business.

Please understand - I am referring to prices in that part of Eastern Europe. $500 or $1000 can get you very far.

Also -- nowadays there are many options available for distribution, and editing can be done on any PC (preferably a Mac, but costs are prohibitive).

To make and distribute (at the least, regionally) an adult film in the U.S., I would say it would cost at least $2500. If you are in an area that requires permits for shooting adult media, then the cost would go up another $2000 to $3000. All in all, $5000 is reasonable in the U.S, but $5000 for an adult movie overseas (especially in Romania or Moldova) means that someone is padding their pockets.

Why do you think that costs in Romania are much lower that in US? Im eastern european and the estonia is one of the most costly places in Europe. Romania is sheaper but US in todays world are really sheap.
Besides, being succesful will need more than one clip.

I got a good laugh out of this thread. Basically what you're saying is you have no experience. You want someone to give you $5,000 to go film nude women, with the help of your pervert friends..uh enthusiastic "crue", of course.
