Help us ROCK the $116B Alcohol Industry

Our small company has developed and successfully test marketed the antidote to alcohol toxicity. It's called Cheerz, and is available in "little purple pills" and soon, the world's first liquid shots (that can be taken as a mixer or even an additive). Similar to Chaser except with a proven formula that it actually works, Cheerz beats the pants off anything else currently on the market. My wife and I invested nearly $500k including liquidating our house to get this far, so we are "all in" (we and our friends have never drank without it for the past 2 years).

Obtaining funding through traditional means has been a ponderous waste of time. So-called Venture Capitalists and Angels who either don't get it because they are propeller heads who can't see anything unless it's IT, or think Cheerz will lead to the decline of Western civilization, (people sans hangovers will drink themselves to death like alcoholic lab rats despite tons of independent data that shows the reverse is actually true).

Here's our favorite comment from one big name Silicon Valley VC: "Wow. It really works. It's surreal. Unfortunately, we don't see it making much more than $100 million so we're going to pass."

We know consumers want Cheerz. At promotions we have been mobbed. Our customers are more like fans. Alcohol in the U.S. is a $116 Billion industry. We believe alcohol consumption is the personal choice of legal adults. Cheerz is a safe, side effect free supplement that lets folks enjoy the pleasurable aspects of booze while helping the body naturally process the toxic element that has been scientifically proven to be responsible for everything from hangovers to liver damage, premature skin aging, cancer, heart problems, and even potential alcoholism itself.

If we are going to be unfairly labeled as a rogue product, then c'est la vie. Consider Red Bull, currently doing $1.4 Billion in annual sales that could never get off the ground as an energy drink until college students discovered that mixing it with alcohol provides the perfect upper to alcohol's depressant effects. Red Bull is a hot 'anti-brand' with strong lifestyle identification. We believe Cheerz has equal or even better potential. And it's a lot better for you than a cup of coffee in a flashy Euro can that tastes like a melted lollipop.

Note to alcohol beverage makers: The first "hangover free" alcopop or flavored vodka that includes Cheerz a 'la NutriSweet or Splenda is going to gain a colossal competitive advantage.

Everything is ready to go. We just need to raise the capital to pull the trigger on the ultimate online viral marketing campaign, which we are confident will rocket us to profitability in just a few short months.

We would love to hear from you.

Cheerz!

As I get older I find my hangovers are worse and worse every night. This is great if it works!

of course, you're a replicable consumer product. i don't even know why you looked at vc or angel money.

anyhow, i think what you have is great, there is appropriate capital available - and you probably should contact me to discuss the sorts of things you can do to finance your venture.

note: just because you don't understand the economics behind venture capital (i.e it doesn't make sense to invest in anything that makes under $100 mill), doesn't mean it's prudent, for you, to bag these people.

all vcs are wealthy individuals and it would be in your best interests to ask them for referals to appropriate sources of capital. what is appropriate, is a question you might want to enquire about. this is different to what you're doing.

tone it down - don't be angry and illustrate your lack of knowledge - be smart and resourceful by asking the right questions (i.e. what is appropriate finance for this kind of deal?)
