Good Investment Firms & Venture Capital Companies

I would dare say posting in a forum that 'I have a great business idea' doesn't work, bottom line. If you want money apart from a loan (and right now even those are hard to get) you have to work with investment firms, and small businesses usually have to work with venture capital companies, bottom line---and if any of you have seen the show 'Shark Tank,' investors want what most forum posters don't want to give them---equity in the company that is actually worth the amount they are investing, with just a TINY bit of wiggle room.

So my question who has, and who has a few they may recommend for working well with you?

    In the same boat

I am currently looking for some reputable Investment Firms or Angel investors, but have not had any luck.

If you hear anything, please let me know. I have tried using Gobignetwork.com but have not had any luck yet.

    Talking Money is out there!

I understand what BMSprint is saying, so this post is not a direct response to the original post; however, I want to just encourage people that there is money available out there; especially to the young. Given my own experience I have found that the money I need is right in my reach whether you see it or not. Many of you have talents and gifts and influence to receive what you might need. Let your influence & gifts take you where you need to go but let your character keep you there. I am starting and have started several companies under one umbrella company (there is a reason for this and I'll explain later in future posts.) One of those companies is a book publishing company with 3 authors lined up to be published and marketed (3 really good titles actually that will do well). One of those authors actually releases his first title next week. Most of our investment came from myself and my team through sweat equity and side job investments; However, I needed extra equipment for my team to produce the book at faster rates with more output. Very expensive equipment actually. I called a meeting, then I sent out a text message blast to everyone on my phone. Let them know about our company, why we are doing what we are doing, what we need, how much it will cost, why we need it, what it will produce (in revenues), and encouraging those people that dreams do come true. Next thing you know within 8 hours, we received all the money we needed to get the equipment. Next day took it to the bank and started ordering the equipment. I was discouraged in the beginning and felt silly for sending out a text like that but I mean I got surprising texts back, "Shane, I got this much", "Shane, I got the other $xxxx"...

What you need is: A Dream, Gifts & Talent, Purpose, Influence, Character, and people who believe in you.

I have built my businesses with no debt and we owe no one. We are still small but we produce healthy revenue and healthy potential. We find innovative ways to produce quality results at cheaper prices than what the "statistics" say it takes to run a business.

Just want to let the young entrepreneurs know out there that is possible to birth the dream that has been developing on the inside of you and there are ways to get it done that you wouldn't have imagined. You don't have to do it like everyone else did it, Be innovative, be new, be unique, be passionate. Surround yourself with like-minded people.

    Nice take Shane

    Shane,

I enjoyed your post as it was very inspiring. I know the money will come because we have a great product and really believe in it.

However, a little inspiration here and there certainly helps.

    Thanks.
