getting money for a company

After I finish college in a few years. Say I wanted to start a business and open a store of some sort. I would not have the funding obviously. How would one go about getting the money to buy what they needed? Investors is an option. Would I be able to get a loan from the SBA or bank? I am talking atleast $100,000 - $150,000. Any help will do. I am also doing research. But please reply. thanks

Investment from others will usually require a solid business plan. So you really have to think long and hard about your business, and find that competitive advantage that will get people to look at you differently

There are tons of ways to get money for a business. First thing is first is do a ton of research on the type of business you want. I also advise trying to do some small ventures such as starting an internet site or becoming an affiliate. It at least gives you some experience. Also read lots of books on start up ventures.

1. Bank Loans. This sucks, I wouldn't do it unless you have great credit.

2. Investors. This is much better because you don't have to pay them back on a Schedule like a bank, but you do report to them, and you give up a portion of the equity on the business.

3. Prosper.com. This is a great site to give and get loans.

4. Save you own money. This is the ideal way to get money for a business but sucks if you loss it, because its your hard earned money.
