funding or investments from this site?

Based on what I've seen here (a lot of silly ideas, questionable advice, arguing, etc.) I was wondering if anyone has ever recieved funding for thier business?

On the flipside, have any investors found any businesses worth investing in?

Last, to the people referring to themselves as angels are you or others on here accredited?

Please dont get offended I'm just trying to figure this forum out and what benefits it may have.

sure..

1. probably not. financing rounds don't get done over the net between strangers

2. yes. there are interesting opportunities on this forum from time to time. but this is rare. for most players, it's their 1st or 2nd venture their their radar for opportunity selection is still uncalibrated with the rest of the market.

3. personally, i'm in australia. we don't have a sec enforced accreditation process for angels.

yes, the problem is that most founders don't associate entrepreneurship with having an investment thesis

if founders would take the time to formulate their thesis, there wouldn't be so much confusion about the merits of ideas

as long as an opportunity passes a certain set of identifiable criteria - it can't be a bad opportunity. it's just that no one sets any criteria for them selves

I doubt you are going to find any accredited investors here.

This forum is titled young entrepreneur, which is very fitting.

75% of people on here are learning.
20% of people on here think they know.
5% of people on here actually know.

Looking for an investor. For 3 stage of plan.

Hello all, interested and uninterested.

I have a unique opportunity for an investor who is willing to make between 50%- 100% on your investment. I have already started the business about 1 week ago but after analysing the data so far, I need alot more stratigic mass marketing and advertising.

This offer is limited to the right investor. Who is the right investor? Someone who is interested in make serious money. Someone who is into new technology and can see an opportunity.

I have a Mobile Entertainment company which focuses on text messaging entertainment. I spent alot of money setting it up, but my marketing plan needs more. It is a multi billion dollar industry and is now in the infant stage in Canada and North America.
Right now my company is promoting a TXT2Win contest. Where you have to guess how many balls it take to fill a Toyota Hybrid Camry and you win the car.

Please only serious enquiries. Check out the contest site. www.txtearth.com

Thank you

Hope there are some awesome investors out there.

Stephen

please sign me up mr blunt...I mean not only the name, but the thread hijack, the typos, it all screams credibility.

Appreciate the answers from the others, it's kind of what I had assumed.
