Smile Fantastic business venture (even in recession) looking for investor(s).

Hello everyone, I have a business venture that has been an idea/product for about 10 years and has become a chip on my shoulder because I'm not doing anything about it and I know it will bring in money and make a lot of people happy. It's time that I act on this and bring it to fruition. At this time, I need only approximately $10,000 to get this started and I am happy to attempt to come up with $5000 of that myself. I see the return on this money in about 3-5 years, then the profit potential just keeps going up and up.

This is a product that many, many, many people are going to be interested in and will partake in even in a recession, or probably even in a depression. It's a difficult time to think about starting a new business, but this is a winner, hands-down.

With some of the profits, I plan on setting money aside for other ventures that will better humankind, society, community. I believe in things green, things that will make life better and happier for upcoming generations.

I don't want to start businesses solely for myself to make money, or so that I can just simply work from home. I have worked from home for something like the last 10 years, on an off, so I've been there, done that. Now is the time that I want to start moving forward and making lives better.

Please let me know if you're interested in talking with me more about this concept. I have some documentation that I've started putting together including some rough numbers, but I am still in the process of a business plan that is, admittedly, challenging for me to write. I would post more details of my plan specifics, but I have had trouble with people stealing them in the past. I'm trying to avoid that this time around.

I'm an artist, a thinker, an inspirer, a dancer, a lover, and at heart, an entrepreneuer. Life is exciting to me and each day is an adventure. I'm sure that if the right person/people were to come along, it would be a joy to work on projects together.

Thanks for reading all of this, if you made it all the way through. If you are in a position of being able to invest, please contact me. If you simply have comments for me, please leave them. I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you.

    Hi Sherrise,

I'm FAR from being in a position to invest, but I would still like to network and discuss/share ideas with you none-the-less. I'm also interested in this amazing product that people would want to spend money on in a depression. Is it Top Ramen? :P haha j/p

If you want to email me, feel free at axeman236@gmail.com

Hope you're having a great weekend so far...

The only way you can truly fail, my friend, is to stop trying.

But do some RESEARCH BEFORE your try! It helps.

I would suggest that you maybe contact a seed investment firm such as YCombinator (there are many other firms out there too). The only thing that I can see may hinder you in getting the initial investment is that you posted you will see a return on that in 3-5 years. Lets say it takes the minimum, 3 years, that means the business will turn over about $3300 a year. Most investors, but not all, are just interested in making money as fast as possible.
I get the image that this product will be humanitarian, therefore even sponsorships and donations may help get the amount needed.

You should always look to free funding first. There are grants to be had from many government organizations, both at the state and federal level. This is "free capital" and even though there's a lot of paperwork involved, you can acquire capital without giving up any equity in your company or taking on debt.

If that fails, and you can't get what you need from family and friends, look to angel investors. You can find local angel organizations by searching the angelsoft network (Angelsoft | Tools for Startups VCs and Angel Investors).

Given the small amount of money you need, and "idea phase" of your company, most angels may not be interested. Our angel group is one of the few that does invest in pre-revenue companies, which you can check out and apply to if you'd like (Jersey Angels).

Let us know if you have any other questions.
