    Competition for Homestead.com

I'm looking for angel investors. My company has developed a website service that is similar to services like homestead.com, yola.com (what use to be geocities.com).

We are about 80% complete with the product (we are at the point of really just fine tuning the product). It's simpler to use our product as compared to your more commercial products (homestead.com, yola.com etc)

I have invest about $6000 to date of my own money, and am now looking for an angel investor to come on board and assist with finalizing and launching this product on a small scale (for beta testing).

I am open to offering equity, as well as a collaborative shareholding in the product (meaning there could be 10 share holders all contributing capital to the final product).

I'm looking at an initial investment of $62 500 for 25% equity which will serve as the first round of investment, followed by hopefully a much larger investment going forward.

Let me know if you are interested.

This might be a pretty tough sell. It seems you have a valuation of about $250,000. That is pretty high for a company that has yet to release their product yet.

Is there any way you could launch with what you have, and maybe take on capital only when you need it?

    Hi ethansmith,

Thanxs for you feedback. My trying to find funding is to try and kick start this entire operation. I'm open to looking to starting off small, but there are some costs involved. I'm looking for any sort of lead etc, to steer me in the right direction.

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm interested in how your site will be easier and better to use than homestead? Also, please explain to me and the other viewers why we should pay 65k for 25% of a company that only costs 6k to make? Thanks.

Hi, thanks for your post. Well to explain it in more detail, our web system is much more user friendly then products like homestead.com, wix.com or yola.com, the websites templates we offer are extremely high quality (look & feel), We want to start off with roughly 50 to 100 (but that requires budget).

Through our website, end users could have your website created and up in literally 5-6 clicks.

We've intergrated a dynamic self developed content management system that makes updating your website content and information really easy to do.

As for the 25% equity, i'm really giving entrepreneurs a chance to assist us in getting this product finalized and marketed online, but at the sametime i'm offering them a chance to be apart of something new and dynamic.

I hope this answers your questions?

    thanx
