Anyone here who have an extra dollar to spare?

Hi everyone!

I chance upon a site where a father with a good credit rating is asking for help so he can add a bedroom for his little girl. Here's the link.

http://www.prosper.com/public/lend/l...listingID=5572

Hope you can help him.

Thanks.

2) He needs to make his loan repayment schedule for longer than 3 years.

25k funded over 10 years isn't much in terms of monthly payments.

edit: This is an interesting site. I can lend people money with interest comparable to credit cards? Talk about making my money work for me, this is great!

That is a very nice site! The interest rates that could be earned on your money is far greater than a savings account!

I read an article about P2P loan services... Loan sharking is a big threat, so I'd be careful (especially if you're seeking a loan, and reside in the New York area, lol).

I fear sites like these are going to put more people into debt... good idea on the developers' behalf though, they have a real chance to replace the traditional banks.

Personally, I think this is a great concept.

Nado, you're right... yet another way to pile up more debt, but... what a way to generate a source of revenue with little effort on the lender's part.

The creators of Prosper and other services such as Zopa have actually taken great measures to avoid scams, etc.

I think it's worth a shot. Start small and if it works well, toss more $$$ in.

Funny how this came up in the forums... I'm actually planning on experimenting with Prosper in about 2 weeks and documenting the results on my blog.

I apologize for the stupid blunder.. Anyway, prosper is really an innovation.. And the good thing is that its not a scam.
