Any Serious Entrepreneurs? Listen Up.
Im so ready to open up a pool hall. I have all the knowledge in the world, and i am full of ideas, but i lack start up capitol. Im under 21, and we need to start introducing more entertaining places for us to go. This pool hall will be the best. So basically im looking for serious partners, and someone with rich parents with good credit (smile). Lets make it happen.

you asked for a partner
I need to screen you, because I might want to be your partner.
so I call you a name to see your reaction
you have a bad reaction
I erase you out of my mind
this is quicker than looking through your resume

Akula,
Why not just refrain from replying if you have nothing to contribute.
I cleaned up the thread, please get it back on topic.

Akula makes very valid points, and I am disgusted that you delete his comments. He's a VC, and tells it like it is ... If people don't want to hear it, then they aren't open IMO. You have to be open to everything ... Even if YOU don't think it's contributing, or perhaps you think it's "negative". God gave you the scroll bar on the side of the browser window ... It's meant to be used in situations like this, i.e. you don't want to see what someone wrote.
Anyway, I would say this business venture is NOT VC material ... No way, no how. You need to go to a bank with a solid business plan and take out a loan. Finding someone with rich parents to mooch from is already a bad start and will lead to broken relationships. If you were just joking, then I'm surprised you would joke about such a matter when trying to secure funding.
Thanks, and have a nice day.

Agreed, by definition it clearly isn't appropriate to look for capital from a venture capitalist
VC: An investor or organization that invests in businesses with a considerable level of risk. The venture capitalist is willing to invest in a medium-to high-risk business in exchange for a very high level of return in order to accept this level of risk.
This clearly isn't a high-risk venture, it is barely a venture. A pool hall isn't new and without precedence. It has been done. Get a loan.

Valid points are welcome - telling it like it is when it comes to business is welcome, however name calling and belittleing are not.
