$10,000-$20,000 capital needed for ready to launch website and application
I don't know if anyone actually meets investors here, but I figure I'll give it a shot. Anyways.....
Without giving away too much, we have created a website and an online application that we feel will further evolve the way people use the internet. We think it is going to have quite an impact. Everything is DONE and ready to launch, we need to pay our "expert" programmer for his assistance, setup hosting for the application, and setup an online advertising campaign. That's it.
Everything is ready:
Domain - registered and paid for 5 years
Site - finished
Application - finished
This is a pretty no brainer investment if you can afford it. We expect this business to be extremely profitable. If you are seriously interested in this opportunity, contact me directly
projectcsu@hotmail.com (spam filter address ) and I will forward my professional address to you
As I mentioned in the post title, we are seeking between $10,000 and $20,000of capital. We would prefer to work with Angel Investors, but do not mean to discourage VC Investors from contacting us. Expedience is of the essence.

You'll have to give a little more information then this if you want to get a response. Where are you from, what is your experiance, and what is the basis of the site. No one will invest site unseen.

Hmmm, well I don't want to say too much.
I'm from Minnesota, USA and my site is a niche community/social network
and potential investors CAN see, I understand no one will just give me money. As I said, everything is already finished and can be presented. There is nothing unseen about it. If I deem you to be a potential investor through our communications, then I'll show you everything.

If you're seeking investments, you need to be putting your plan in front of investors, not claiming that you have an idea and making them come after you. It's a waste of time, and I won't do it. However, if you put something in front of me, I'll read it before dismissing it. Don't hide what you have. You already have it built, you have it ready to go, put it out there so you have a greater chance of finding an investor.

I use AIM and Yahoo Messenger. I do business consulting, in addition to other endeavors. Occasionally, if the right plan and person come along, I'll take an equity interest, but I generally avoid doing so. At this point, I just invested $15K in a project, so I'm giving it a bit of time before jumping in on another of the same scale. However, I would be happy to offer advice here, as I try to do for anyone, or enter an agreement for more comprehensive consulting work.

Do you really expect someone to put their idea out on the table in a public forum????
Then having it up for grabs? I understand his wanting to be confidential!

I do actually, if someone really wants to find an investor. It needn't be a full business plan or even a detailed description of the operation of the idea, but something that gives a potential investor a reason to know more.
Even if it was something as simple as the type of industry it will be in, it will offer a chance for an investor to say either, "That seems like an industry with opportunity," or, "I have a personal interest in that area and would like to be involved in a venture related to it."
If all you say is, "I have a great idea. If you open a new window, shoot me an email, and tell me that you're interested, THEN I'll tell you my idea," you're making any serious investor go through too much trouble just to hear an idea.
You need to make it as easy as possible for an investor to invest in your project. You need to be willing to do anything just to get it in front of them. The more hoops you make them jump through, the less likely they are to even take a look at the proposition, and thus the even slimmer chance that you will find an investor.

Exactly. A good elevator pitch that grabs attention. Separating yourself from all the generic stuff around.
