Youtube (Or video) marketing
Hi everyone, does anyone have any good ideas in marketing and advertising your business using video through youtube, video.google.com, or myspace?
Infomercials are starting to advertise using videos, so any suggestions? I tried to find search results for youtube right now, but I can't find any statistics on that...thanks everyone!

I saw many advertisements in youtube, but they were humorous and sometimes banned. Which means that people will only view infomercials if they're entertaining enough to be quite a catch in youtube and the others. So I'm also a little skeptic as to whether this would work. But, hey, it's just a little.
And even though the internet is becoming a very powerful advertisement tool, I'm not sure if it can compete with the television when it comes to infomercials.

well for advertisements, I think engadget, (or was it gizmo.com) does it pretty well on youtube.
They have a large audience already, and moving to video cast helps them physically advertise products whilst making it look like a "review"
Plus not everyone likes to read, so having your review spoken out and shown to you via youtube is a pretty cool thing for lazypeople

wait... I just got an idea
sorry for the double post, but I wanted to keep this idea seperate from my previous post
What do you guys think about a video review site for a certain market? I am not sure if its already done, but even if it is, i doubt it'll be saturated.
For example, you can have a video review for say resturants within your country, /city. It'll be like thoes TV shows, except its by real people and real opinions. Sure there are review sites which are text based, but imagine seeing the product (or service) in aciton, whilst getting reviewd in realtime by a specific person with a certain amount of reputation and trust
Sooner or later, companies would want to pay to be reviewed (best case scenario)
What do you guys think about this video marketing method?

I spent a few days playing around with YouTube marketing. Commercials before clips will last for a while but eventually people report them and the video gets shut down. If you do this enough they will ban your name and you'll have to make another.
I've found that a nondescript watermark on the bottom right or left of any relavant video with a healthy amount of views works best.
This is the same simple strategy used by ebaumsworld.com and many other websites.

Hi, I just joined YounEntrepreneur.com, and decided to reply to this, because it is something that came across my mind and wanted to blog on this subject. I believe, that one way could be the following:
If you own a website, or blog for example, traffic can be generated through youtube (kind of obvious), here is maybe one example:
I make a video
-- it could be funny while also "advertising" the name in text or just by speaking of it in any way.
-- Doesnt have to be funny, it could be a speech you are giving to viewers and then have people reply (like they do on youtube) on the subject you speak of. With many replies in videos, people tend to stick and get involved in videos with groups etc. That could be a way of connecting a group of people with an audience, while still advertising somewhat.
