yeah, it's about time the gang split for some virtual tequila and gogo dancers
they must be rolling in it
although, I'm very disappointed
a whole line of branded product should have been rolled out a year ago
there's no plan, because there is no plan to get a plan and me thinks it's a good time to start planning to plan
did I say PLAN?
I dunno, I was planning too..

look at ther adbrite prices, thats only 1 part of their revenue income
yea but think 6 people can buy their adbrites, so what if all 6 bought them a day.
well its not hard to work out. I donrt mean to sound rude but its a simple maths equation.
My estimate is at about US$5000 a month.
how is it simple math equation njames, what if only one person bought an ad a day. What if 6 people bought an add everyday...
Thanks stealthy one for the estimate...
Sounds like they are doing wonderful, and the amount of work required to make $5000 is probably not so much that they don't have time for other things too.
Unfortunately they are leaving thousands out on the table. At 3:00p.m. today I'll post a link and a new ad method that display to them how to make a lot more due to the users and viewers they have....And no this is not some silly scam, it's just a different angle of advertising. I don't waste people's time so it will be legitimate advice.

There making around $4000-5000/month (estimate)

That is, unless they're willing to pay me consulting fees, which I would gladly accept regardless of the fact that I am completely and utterly unqualified to provide advisory services to a website.
Except perhaps for stuff like merchandising, as Akula said.

Please, take a gander,

This site has around 17,000 members, very comparable to YE, yet this site brings in much more that YE because of a few reasons.
The main reason, is the that they have each Discussion sponsored monthly. Approximately, $200 for each one. As you can see (aka. no secret or smoke and mirrors.), they have 30 different Discussion topics. So right there is $6000more than YE. This does not include the adsense and other sources of income.
And they have the larger sponsors at the top, which I have no idea how much they are paying but I am sure it is not cheap and well damn worth it.
Finally, their site looks real clean and crisp.
In conclusion, YE is doing a great job, I enjoy the site, but *in my opinion* they are leaving a few grand ($6000-$7000 x 12 = approximately $75,000) that could be easily made with a few strategies implemented.
See everyone, simple, no crap or false promises, exactly how business is supposed to be done.
The real reason, I unveil this information is because I know idiots trying to start their own MLM business will probably pay a few hundred to sponsor a Discussion...and let's face it, that would just be funny.
Realistic Ralph coming atcha!
But why commercialize it so much? If the owners of YE are happy with the way things are currently going, from a financial standpoint, why irk users with more ads?
Some forums (successful ones in terms of volume) claim that they don't make any money, and they ask for donations (when they have banner ads etc).
This must be total bullshit.
