YE just trying to find a business to start....

I have a friend that can get rolex's directly from rolex for 40 percent off (factory cost). He wants to start selling them online. But it seems like there is a lot of competition. Since we don't have to buy the watches upfront, we can basically dropship them. This is ideal, because neither of us have much capital to start a business.

Seeing this as a good opportunity, I was trying to think of unique ways to capatilize on it. I remembered a website a few months ago that akula posted on here, it was a fancy car club where you pay money up front and then monthly fees and you can drive ferraris, lambos, bentleys, aston martins, etc...

Do you think I could start some type of club like this. Where people either payed money and then a monthly fee to have watches for a monthly time period, or do you think I could start something else where they pay a large sum and then receive a new rolex model monthly.

Throw some comments and ideas at me. Thanks everyone!

People are willing to pay lot for Rolex watches, so I think the price is not a very competitive factor... sorry

I dont really no how you cud implement this, there wud b a few problems to oconsider first. But saying that i think it wud be kinda cool to say have ur own rolex, tag heur watch for amonth. I love watches and have quite a few of them and i wud actually join something like this.

But again i dont really think its feasible. I cud be wrong.

If ya don't need to put the money up front, why not sell on ebay.
You could probably strike a deal with some of the ebay stores that sell on ebay...you could make 10% lets say on a 5k watch and sell 5-10+ a month to those guys. They already have the respected feedback.

A lot of people already sell rolex's on ebay. The powersellers probably get the watches for factory cost, so how could I get them to sell it for me?

I dont think thats such a bad idea, im sure not everybody on ebay is buying them factory price. Try approach some of the smaller players and they might be interested.

I wouldnt sell on ebay, it is more proffesional to own a website. If you get rolex to approve your website, then people know it is genuine, whereas ebay watches may be fakes. Drop shipping is a good idea, as it costs nothing. I have just started a drop shipping diamond business.

I like the ebay idea some of you are tossing around.

You can be up and running in an hour, with no start-up costs. And e-bay already gets a ton of traffic.
