What happened to the YE Chat thread?

was it deleted? If so why?

try this:

get people on this forum to follow the link in your signature and install http://www.yakalike.com

This way, you'll be able to chat with others without making people visit some other website

If you do yakalike, I'll also do yakalike

I don't see how anybody can be enthusiastic about having yet another website that they have to visit.

This is a better way of having a sucessful chat thingy take off

I know they deleted two of Dwaltin (sp?) chat posts - and one of mine!

Theres no rule against posting chat threads? I would love the moderator who did it to come and explain why here......or will he delete this thread too?

Hi there Guys,

Yes, It was deleted by me. As I mentioned on a previous post, we are working on a new platform that will enable our members to communicate more effectively. I visited the board that was referred to several times before deleting the post and it was plainly evident that this was not an entrepreneurial community or an environment that we'd like linked or associated with YE. All I read was profanities and non-productive non-sense. So, to answer your question: #1) We do not approve the links to sites that are filled with profanities. #2) As many members have already mentioned, they do not feel that chat rooms are as productive as posting on the forums as questions and answers cannot be easily recalled by new visitors.

We appreciate your concern for bringing together the members but we are working diligenlty on a platform that will do this in a secure, managed and appropriate environment.

Biz guy, im the one who started the thread - -i did not put a link to the site where the chat is at --THE SITE IS NOT EVEN UP AND RUNNING TOTALLY -- no one except some personal friends knew the location.

And I agree - as was asked, I am only interested in a MODERATED chat, one that wont have all kinds of kiddie nonsense going on.

Who do I need to talk to to get approval to "discuss" this chat here on YE

I understand you guys are still working on it, but i have a solution (at my own expense) that is operable RIGHT NOW!

And from the dozen or so votes - many people would like to visit it.

Im not trying to make waves, I am trying to serve a need. I cant help it. I am a serial entrepreneur - i start stuff.

What do I need to do to proceed as the CHATROOM is now up and ready to roll.

what this place needs is a proper archive and thread discovery functionality so the same freakin questions don't have to be adressed with the same freakin answers
