Design the print on the clothing, or design the actual clothing?

The actual design of the clothing I think would be very unique, although I can't see how that could be done online really... But if you've got a system for it that's usable, that'd probably do well. The design would need to offer quite a lot of customisation though, to offer a really unique service.

I think this market has been flooded, you would really need to "stand out" from others. But that doesnt say I wouldn't buy this product! I would just pick the 'best' - I guess if this was going to be an online business. a very dynamic web application which would let you customize this print would be a MUST!

I think the customization would be very limited, and the result quite tacky, unless you are charging $200 a shirt.

Don't consider this poll to be your market research.

I don't want to think that hard. I just want to go to the store, see something, buy something and done. If it can't be on the shelves at stores, then there wouldn't be enough demand to sell multiple units and the styles may be so far out there that only one person buys it. There are already those people creating their own fashion for cheap. I wouldn't do it if I were you.

I usually buy T shirts with custom embedded design, most important for me is quality rather than a popular brand.

I think it has potential, I would be interested to hear how someone would submit their designs and what format they would be in. From my perspective, the designs I would want would be very hard to put down on paper and finding a medium that lets everyone submit their own that also allows quick conversion to a physical product would be tricky.
