First Rule of forums: If you got nothing constructive to say, don't say anything.
(here members, search for this guys past posts and read quick summary of the post it gives you in the search.....utter crap...put-downs every 2nd post)

Anyway, Im not too sure about the USA, but here you need to register a name and pay about $300 to register a company. You might not want a company though as you get double taxed and it's quite expensive. Im sure a quick google search will give you heaps of info on registering a company.

Im sure someone else can be more helpful

Hey if u wanna go for it, do it!!! Live your life with no regrets. I just quit my job to start my own company. Im not sure if im gonna do it yet, but i love the thought of working for myself instead of some stuck up jerk that doesnt care about his employees, just the money he is making. I dont know anything about engineering. I was just gonna give you some encouragement to make the leap if thats what you wanna do.

Im an engineer with a degree to match, and when I graduated this past Spring I didnt have to go looking for a job, I started my company while I was in college, and have been consulting ever since. To be quite honest its fairly simple. PM me for more advice.
