Word Bank?

I was wondering, would it be a good (professional) idea to but like a small word bank on my sites homepage filled with hot key words so my homepage shows up more in search engines?

AKA "tags"? I don't find it very professional. It's mainly used for SEO purposes. Some sites will put popular tags in their footer, for example, the "top cheats" and "top games" section on Video Game Cheat Codes, Cheats, Walk-Throughs, Hints, FAQs

I hate tags though, so unless you can do it attractively, i wouldn't do it.

Either make a clean table for them, that says "Popular Products" or something, depending on what your website is about. or throw them in the footer. I'm a fan of the footer tbh.
