Will You Become Rich One Day?

Will You Get Rich One Day?

About a third of us think we will. And more than a few of us believe a ticket out of our workaday financial worries will have lottery numbers printed on it.

In this land of opportunity, Americans may believe that it's harder to get rich than it used to be. But when asked about the likelihood of getting rich personally, about one-third say it's very or somewhat likely that they will attain wealth because of their work, investments, inheritance or good luck.

On the other hand, 63% say it's not too likely or not at all likely they'll get rich. Just 2% volunteered that they're already rich.

    What is rich, anyway?

Most people don't equate wealth with a yacht in the Mediterranean and a house on every continent. A meager 7% of respondents define "rich" by possessions such as houses, cars and boats.

Instead, for at least 33% of Americans, rich means having enough money not to worry, according to the survey. That's a subjective definition that varies with lifestyle and attitude. An additional 26% define rich as having enough money to quit their jobs.

Having enough money 'not to worry' is financial freedom, and that's defined by the lifestyle one chooses to live.

I am a firm believer anyone can be as rich as they want to be - Most people just don't want to put in the hard work it takes, and yes, for some, it might be harder and more work than others.

Two things you mentioned above struck me - 'inheritance' - You know only only 5% of millionaires inherited their wealth? That's a small number, but most people choose to believe that most millionaires inherited it.

The other thing was 'good luck' - "I'm a great believer in luck and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Good luck is winning the lottery. It doesn't take good luck to get up early every morning, and work late every night. Good luck isn't making good decisions.

I will be one day. Hard work with a bit of luck and it should be within reach for me.

I gotta agree with ikjosh because a lot of people don't want to put in the work to become rich, they just want it to happen magically. And again like he said hard work for some might not be as hard for others. IMO the term hard work has many meanings to different people. But something I question is this... Have some of the people that were surveyed said its hard to become rich ever tried? Thats something I have yet to find out.

As for me I want to become rich in my future I just gotta get up everyday and get on my grind and I'm sure it will pay off.

Unless you set a goal to become wealthy then it will never happen.

Visualization is the key to success.

Knowledge is only potential Power. It requires massive action to transform into its monetary equivalence.

IF you plan to sit on the couch and wish and hope you will become rich. Well then u might as well go buy a lottery ticket to at least feed your hopes.

You need Goals, and a Plan of action that you can follow to create your wealth and life style you desire.

I highly reccomend reading " Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill.

I Have a Copy on PDF that I offer for Free within the SET of E-books I give to my readers.

Feel free to pick up your copy and be enlightened.

True my one of my motivators is just that "visualize where you would like to be in the future".

I know I will become rich because I truly believe I will. I have set myself a goal to become a millionaire before I'm 30. Now I'm 21.

I stopped playing the lottery about a year ago because I think I would be really disappointed if I won. I like the challenge of becoming a millionaire.

I am rich! I have little more money than that which is needed to get by month to month but have family and friends that can not be bought or sold. They are worth more than money and I also have my self worth that is invaluable.

I would have to agree with several of you. My definition of "wealthy" or rich is based on having enough money to do WHAT I WANT...WHEN I WANT and not worry about the bills at the first of the month.

Honestly, I think too many people focus on becoming "RICH" one day. Many young entrepreneurs I talk to want to make 10 million dollars in the next 2 years. While I would like that as well, I think more people should focus first on creating a business model that replaces their 9-5 salary, and then move forward from there.

I think if more people enjoyed what they did, and had more time to enjoy family and friends, that more people would also live more profitable and rewarding lives.

I quit my 9-5 a year ago and while I'm not "rich" according to many of your definitions, I am more productive and happy than ever!

that is also a form of being rich, doing what you love everyday...soon enough the big money will follow. Also like you said, you have to move forward a little at a time and then you will find a world of opportunities and make your luck happen
