Will not take much time. Costco and Target are waiting.

    Hi there,

I run a successful manufacturing company in Canada and do not know how to enter the US as well as speak with the big box stores about a product which they surely will purchase from myself as I have the item in large quantities, with the price and quality they will be most impressed with.

I do not know where to start, do I post an ad for a distributor, sales agent or just approach them myself. I am willing to split our profits 50/50.

Well a distributor is one route to go for sure. They have access to a lot of your target already, and they have the infrastructure, process', etc to move your product. That will let you focus on what you do best(make great products, innovate, etc).

However.. if you look at a company like Dell they chose to cut the distributor out. They take care of all customer service, shipping, process', sales, etc etc etc etc etc... etc etc on their own. This may be one of the reasons they have over $6 billion in liquid cash in the bank as we speak. It just depends what route you want to go and more-so where you want to be in 5-10 years.
