Why You Should Love Technology!

Let’s all think about this for a second.

Let’s go back to 1990, and think about how we advertised our businesses. I’m sure we all used the newspaper, word of mouth, of course, flyers, joining organizations, tv, telephone ads and so on. All this was done with some type of hired help. These all, or most of them cost money. Of course, they are all still useful today, but there are so many other ways thanks to technology and the internet!

I know we’ve all cussed our computers or called them things that we shouldn’t have, but think about how much they have helped our business! We have eliminated workers (which can be good or bad) and are much more efficient and effective with our time and of course, that saves our businesses money. Also, think about how we can send out tons of mail through email with the click of a button instead of mailing it all out spending money on postage, which seems to keep going up.

There are also so many free tools out there to advertise your business for free and I didn’t know this until I started researching. Obviously there is blogging, which I am becoming a huge fan of, but there are more out there too. Try joining Spotabusiness.com, Squidoo, Technorati, the yahoo directory, craigslist, konnects, youngentrepreneur, listafterlist, youtube, bravenet, box for you, myspace, facebook, or livejournal.com.

Whether these are blogs, forums, free directories, classifieds or articles they are all fantastic! Just think how lucky we are to have these things at our disposal! Its free advertising and I have found that it has definitely helped our business and not harmed it for sure!

We are also reaching so many different types of people with different backgrounds and personalities. This allows us to be very diversified in what we do and reach so many while doing it.

Just really think about why you love technology and hopefully I gave you some helpful hints on sites to use!
