Lightbulb Why do you want to be an Entrepreneur?

It is much easier to just work for the man and get a steady paycheck. I wanted to see why the good people here were inspired to become entrepreneurs.

Anyone?

its actually a hobby for me.

I am committed to my studies and getting a good job. But doing internet experiments on the site is fascinating. Although I admit that I've spent a few hundred dollars and I hope to make that money back.

But all hobbies cost money... eh? haha

I want to be the boss. I want to be the reason why a company is successful. I like being the leader that people can go to with their questions. I feel the need to earn people's respect. That is why I want to be an entrepreneur.

I like to be an entrepreneur because I am sick of working. Work for people is like selling your time (OR LIFE) to the person. You don't feel the challenges. You don't feel the freedom. It is very difficult for you to be a billionaire. Even millionaire is tough.
Corporate world is full of internal politics. You have to play politics in the company in order to get promotion. Do you know that no matter how hard you work, you may not get promoted just because one of your peer is your superior or boss friend.

Working for people is a waste of time.
It is a waste of your precious life.
You won't get rich by that.
You will only get frustration.
At the end of the day you will find that you are too old to do business.
Too late. Don't have sufficient money to retire. No money to raise childs.

So I don't have to end up like 90% of the population swimming in the rat race for the rest of my life. And so I can surpass most of the people at school who think what I am doing is a total waste of time.

Are you working for people now or an entrepreneur? Seems that you have gone out of the rat race.

quote from my book:

Quote:
For me personally it was about having a goal and a dream and trying my utmost to accomplish it, and as I said above I didn’t want an ordinary “nine-to-five” life where nothing would be a risk nor would it be exciting. I wanted to show that I could create wealth not just receive a wage from other entrepreneurs who are creating the wealth.

I am a hardcore fan of customization. Being a student I have this oppurtunity to experiment things which I may not be able to do by tomorrow. Hence I want to become an entrepreneur so that I can customize my default life.
