One way a website is valued, but also ranked by its importance is by the number of hits the site gets in a period of time, right?

Why not create a simple program that "hits" your website for you thousands of times each day?...not enough to crash the server, but tell the program to do 41 hits every hour for 24 hrs, thats 1000 hits per day.

I don't know all the technical details but I'm sure that the more hits your site gets, the more "relevant" it becomes and gets ranked higher on google, and also the more traffic you get, the more revenue is generated from ads.

could this work?

you can't do this...Multiple page views of the same page made by the same user on the same day are counted only once.

There are 100000 sites that already do this... by using them you can actually get negative results from Google. You can not have adsense on your site and use these types of PTV or PTS sites. I've seen people get their domains black listed for doing this as well... DO NOT DO THIS!

Ditto. Instead of working in your favor, this approach would actually hurt you.

I do not recommend automated clicks either especially when doing advertising since you're just wasting your time without yielding the "right" results.

Why not just increase your VALUE online by writing contents, link building and social networking. That way, you'll also be known by most online users around your niche.

I don't know how well it could be done for a website and marketing...but I do have a friend who wrote a program similar to this for a band. They used it for their myspace, so when agents, and venues looked at their page, it looks like they have a lot of traffic and a lot of people are into the music.

So I'm sure it can be done, but it won't really matter if your not offering the people that end up coming to your site because of the "fake draw" anything. And I'm sure there is some legal stipulations as far as trying to get advertisers to advertise. I see it as stealing myself.

I would also advise against this tactic, as well. I would not to use this tactic.

A friend of mine had a domain name and his domain name got blacklisted for the same reason the OP has suggested.

It was sold to another person, and that person used a program not only to create an automated clicking campagin. The site got banned from google, and the old owner bought it back and re-did the work. It used to be a very popular nintendo website, the new owner wanted to degrade the legacy of the site.

I'm done quite a bit of research on "under-the-hood" methods, so to speak. I've ran across some programs that actually do this...

Haven't tried them out, though... google is quite smart

As everyone else has said it will cause problems with Google and other search engines. They have all caught on to this and are very aware of people clicking the same links over and over. Plus, their are already programs who do this.

dont do this.......instead pay some money to do SEO for website ..that will benifit you in long term ....
