Why Did You Want to Become an Entrepreneur?

What was your "ah ha" moment when you knew you were destined to become an entrepreneur? What motivated you to take the entrepreneurial path?

People will put up with incredible amounts of bull poop from co-workers, bosses, etc, just to type stuff into a computer all day so they can "earn" lots of money that goes right back out the door to buy useless junk they don't need or even want but that they think is necessary to look good.

In today's work environment, brown nosers get promoted. You know what they're REALLY looking for in those crazy interviews? They want a perfect fit for their "culture". That's why, if somebody from a recently immigrated ethnic group ends up as manager, the whole place suddenly fills up with relatives, friends, and friends of friends. Anybody not from that group can kiss their jobs goodbye. You can be qualified, but if you're not a perfect cultural fit, you get dumped. It's insane.

Being autistic, I by definition am an outsider. At first I wanted to overthrow the system. But even the "revolutionaries" are just interested in power and conformity; anybody who takes the initiative finds themselves facing the cops alone. So finally I decided to start a business. I can't fire myself, and I don't have to kiss anybody's ass to earn a living.

When i worked for Chuckie cheese my first year in college for about 2 weeks til closing. If your not familiar with working til closing, it mean you work until the whole place is clean, until it closes, and after a certain time, if the place isn't clean you stop getting paid, even tho your still on shift. And chuckie Cheese on a Saturday or Sunday Is CRAZY Disgusting When everyone Leaves!
At that point i said Forget this.............Entrepreneur till i die!
