Why Are You Still Broke?

I understand that this is an entrepreneur forum and some of you are into real estate and such. But I have seen that the vast majority of the members here are trying to make money online. This thread is for those people.

I found this forum in June of this year, and I knew absolutely NOTHING about making money online. A week ago I made $300 in a DAY! Yesterday I made $47. Today I made $94. I am on pace to make $30,000 this year from my very first online project.

I am not trying to brag, I am trying to understand why you guys insist on creating pixel sites and adsense sites and so on and so on. It seems to me you are aiming too low.

The people that make GOOD money from adsense sites are the people that have 200 adsense sites! The people that made GOOD money from pixel sites were the originals. It's too late, you missed that boat.

When I first came here I was looking for a way to make $1000's not $1's. I must admit, I was a little discouraged to see that most of the people here were bragging about making $5 today off adsense...

And then I saw Steve A.K.A. Sl.Market's famous post that said "I make $3000 any time I want!" Now THAT was the kind of stuff I wanted to hear! Even though on that post it seems like everybody thought Steve was a spammer or a fraud or whatever. i believed him and I joined his forum.

Steve taught me about the way HE made money online, and also lead me to another amazing forum filled with people that called themselves internet marketers. These people seemed to KNOW how it was done.

I remember hearing these people talk about making $100,000 this year, or quiting their corporate job that paid $80,000 a year and making MORE than that working at home. So I studied what these people were doing and found out that what they were doing was not difficult at all really.

Within a month I had finished learning, and decided to get to work. I did what they told me to do as best I could and threw up a crappy looking website about golf. It was the VERY FIRST website I had ever made, I knew absolutely no html and nothing about website design before my first attempt.

Some of you will remember the site I am talking about. It looked like crap and when I showed it to the YE forum they all said it was terrible. But that ugly site is the reason I don't need a part time job to go through college today.

The method I used is called info-product marketing. It is basically just selling ebooks. All you do is figure out a problem that people are having, and solve them problem in an ebook. If people are desperate to have their problem solved, they will pay you $47 without a second thought.

I used golf for instance. these people dont care how "pretty" your website is, they just want to fix their swing as quickly as possible. If they think your product will help them, they don't even care what the price is. they just want their problem solved.

It's a simple consept and it WORKS. I'll be the first to tell you, I SUCK at selling info-products. My golf site and book are terrible by most standards, yet I will make $30,000 this year from that site. And probably more, as it seems to be growing.

Not to mention I have a email list of golfers now that I can send affiliate links as often as I like. If I am ever in need of some extra cash, I can just sign up for an affiliate program of another golf site and send the affiliate link to my list of golfers.

And I think the best part about it is, it is all automated now. I don't have to do anything anymore. It runs itself. Now I can start working on my next ebook for a completely different subject. And if my second one is as successful as my first I will make $60,000 this year! And my first one, wasn't very good by most standards.

The reason I have shared this story with you is to show you that you CAN make good money online. You just need to know how. You can even make a career out of it

Sounds like you've molded into the typical internet marketer nicely

i.e. sell a product, make some money and then sell an ebook that tells everyone else how you made thousands.

No personal offense... it's just that a lot of the big marketing guys make most of their money selling products about how they made their 'millions'.

Has Steve done any more articles? I remember I checked out the forum not long ago and their were only 3 guides in there.

I'd like to get some more guides etc, as I've got an info-product idea I want to get my lil brother to create (so he doesn't have to get sucked into a job... he's leaving yr10 at school in a few months). I'll eventually morph it into a related business if successful, but I need to make it a large launch to get enough capital to develop this related business.

Have you or Steve got a copy of or read the Product Launch Formula?

Sounds interesting and congrats on the profit ur making. I remember steve gave his whole guide on how to do what u r doing right here on YE, so I dont think anybody will be bying ur ebook from here. But good luk with it.

I swear I'm going to start another entrepreneurial forum that just completely excludes internet marketing....

Not that it's necessarily illegitimate, but I'm just so tired of hearing about it so much more than other stuff.

I gave up on steve's forum. I promised to see if that guy is a scam, but there is just nothing (or close to nothing) happening on that "college marketer" or something forum. So I just couldn't be stuffed going back there.

As for peopel writing ebooks about how they made money, good for them, and if it helps whoever buys it, good for them as well. Unfortunately, not many of us would buy it mainly because we've seen too much bullshit and too little action/proof.

Plus your post was too long, i read 1 and a half paragraphs and I just skipped to the next post hoping someone would explain it. Till now I still don't understand WHY THE FRIGGING HELL EBOOKS WEBSITES HAVE TO BE ONE MASSIVE ASS PAGE FULL OF TEXT like seriously, GO OUT AND BUY "Don't make me think" a book on usability, coz you sure as hell all frigging need it

personally i think that's a very good article. I agree with the fact that a lot of people aim low around here with their pixel and adsense sites (although, adsense can be very profitable if you have the right traffic) and i must agree that people should be looking at the big picture.

i read through all of it and found it to be quite informative and i think an ebook site about something useful is only ever good if there are going to be people desperate enough to know what you already know, im planning to sell an ebook explaining where to get suppliers for ebay and the secret ways to profit from it more than the competition.

well im here to ultimatly get advice and yes make 'millions' but i know that isnt going to come overnight with as small a budget as mine right now, so $30,000 a year from doing as much as checking your paypal balance in the morning is looking quite good from my perspective.

I do however have my own eBook that i have written, i just havent marketed it etc properly, and to be totally honest i dont know where to start with it all.

After reading this, i may have to go ahead with getting my eBook out there, and i also have an automated email responder which i bought from my days when i was selling on eBay. Not only that but i run a site around the idea of this eBook. All my materials are there for me, i just need to put a little thought into this and market/develop it properly!

I like to think of it like this:

If you know how to build an adsense website that makes you $1 a day. Then you know how to make $100 day. Just do what you did to make $1 a day with that first adsense site 100 times. 100 adsense sites making $1 is $100 a day, $36,000 a year.

Now if I know how to make ONE website that makes me $36,000 I also know how to make 1 million dollars a year. It's just going to take a little while to build all of those sites. All I have to do is build 30 sites my way to make 1 MILLION dollars a year. While adsense people have to make hundreds of sites to equal what my first one is doing.

That's what I meant when I was talking about a way to make $1000's. There are MILLIONAIRES doing what I do. They just do it better, and they have been doing it longer(I've only been at it for a few months) If you've ever heard of John Reese or Mike Filsaime or Alan Says or any of these people you will know that info-product marketing makes MILLIONAIRES it's a fact.

I'm just trying to show people what I have learned about making money on line.
