    Wholesale question....

Hi I just want to know how to get wholesale prices. I found many dealers that AMD and intel the cpu manufactors have on their website that shows their certified dealers.

I tried getting talking with those dealers and I was not able to. They required me to regsiter to their website before I can talk to them.

In the form it asks for a business name and a busines tax id.

Now I might this monday go and register a business name and get a business tax id.

Now my question is to anyone that dealt with whosalers. How low of the price do you know as an estimate would whosellers sell?? I heard wholesale is very very lower than the price at retail. I really want to know if wholesale prices are lower than retail??

I am asking becuse I am thinking monday to register a business name and business id tax thinking that the whosellers would be giving me goods at a cheap price and not even close to retail price.

I plan to be able to build my own computers and also be able to get eletronic compenents for cheap.

Is wholesale price cheap or is it just very close to retail??

and If you get a business id and business name would you have access to dealers that deal directly to manufactors??

You're on the right track to be able to get products at wholesale pricing. Most dealers require a tax id first. Very easy to obtain from your state's website. Register your business locally with your county and also with your state (if you are in the US).

Genreally speaking, wholesale prices are usually 50% of retail. Not always, but most often.

wow your getting me excited lol.

The reason I asked was that I seen online even on googla people claiming they are wholesellers and the price they give was like 10% cheaper than retail so I was like thinking that maybe that was what retails pay.

Then I also looked at wal-mart and many retail stores on how to get a product in their store and find out they that make huge profits and they really rip off people who sumit their product to them.

I am currently able to make my own computer meaning building it from scrap.

however I can tell if I buy things even chips and cpu at reatail I know for a fact I will lose because customers would find out retail prices and then see mine which would have to be higher prices than retail.

Also in these wholesale do you guys think it's possible to get a wholesale prive on dedicated internet?? I am currently searching for an Isp that will give me a dedicated t1 or t3 line at a cheap price.

I can't bealive wholesale price would be like 50% off retail prices.

If the wholesaler is 10% of retail its probably one of those stupid sites that claims to get you rich, but really none of their products will sell for a profit.

You get better deals with wholesalers if you buy in bulk. You want to find a product, try and get in touch with the manufacturer, ask them if they will sell directly from the factory. If they say no then ask them for representatives (wholesalers). is this correct? what I have just posted ?

If you are using a legit wholesale company which it sounds like you are, then the prices should be low enough for you to make a profit. You can register a tax id number online and print it out and use it in about 10 min. I would recommend regestering as an LLC so you have some legal protection and it only costs around $30.

well, thanks for the replies if anything you know new comes up or remeber something please do reply back here.

I own 2 websites and I have my own server I am looking for an ISP that will give me a dedicate line since my isp currently are ticked off finding out I have a server which they found out when I was asking to relay e-mail through their mail server becuase aol and big e-mail providers would block my e-mails from my e-mail server that were sent to aol users ect. I found the error and the error told me that my reverse dns record didn't matched the domain name, when I checked I found my domain name attached with my isp name.

I am currently in college going to major in accounting. I been exposed to business laws ect. I know about the limited liability corp. I do plan later once my websites get's popular to a point I plan to encorperate my business to an S corp limited liability.

My over all plan is to make my own game console and many eletronics.

I currently learned how to make firmware meaning software for chips ect.

I can build a computer from ground up and also program it from ground up.

I am now at a point where I really need to know how I can get electronic components like cpu, chips ect at cheap prices hoping that my game console idea will pay off.

I plan to use the website ads for funding my project.

I will be going to the country this monday my dad will be with me. He had some experience since he one time opened a travel agency. My dad told me that the retailers sell you the product expensive and told me that I need to try and directly work with the manufactor in order to get the cheapest price as possible.

So I asked here just to see if anyone that currently or not even currently but could have tips and or can give me a picture how to get the products at the cheapest price possible.

So I plan to try and e-mail the ceo or the admin of AMD and see what happens.

ok I registered my business name and got a business tax id. I e-mailed AMD ceo/ admin and asked if I could buy direct from them. I e-mailed them about 3 to 4 times and no response. I been looking at many places but they wont say their price until you register with them then they will give me the prices.

I have heard from an article that the wholesale prices are getting inflated. Did anyone hear of this??
