Who Wants to make a New Youtube with me???

Alright Youtubes being slapped in the face with copyrights lately, it makes it hard to watch any songs or videos because they mute the sound on it. I've actually read on a lot of videos that people feel like its time for a new site. So i'm just hanging at home today and I've come up with a bunch of ideas that I feel will get the site to rise. So if anyones down, i'm up for it. I'll handle all the marketing stradegies and what not. We'll need a website designer obviously and all that. I'm figuring hey lets make this into an interesting project. I feel like we have a lot of knowledge on this site lets take like 4 or 5 guys and make it happen.

Who likes the idea ??

I'll join in I might be able to help with the design and some marketing.

Plus anything with tube in, isn't really going to work as they will then get reminded about youtube again. It needs a total different view on it.

Alright everyone i'll just repost a pm that I sent to someone on the site since it tells the details of what im thinking. So on Youtube you look at the homepage, really simplistic, its really just symbolic to what the whole site is about. Automatic improvement right there. Homepage is everything. What about a news page for the homepage. But in a youthful manner. It would focus on things like current events, music, politics...but in a teens perspective. Listen in order to make something big you have to intend where the world is going. With Obama in office kids have a little more taste for politics. You could even have a form on the site, so kids can interact about certan topics in an organized matter. Now my concept is a cross between Facebook and Youtube, you feel me ? Most people say well that seems like too much. Well is it really, I mean a lot people have there own channel, so why not have your own homepage like in facebook. Combine all that social networking into one concept.
-Right now we have someone for the making of the forum and advertising. Pwdrin we're definitely going to need some help with the designing. I want to make it a very colorful. I was thinking faded abstract art in the background of the homepage? I don't know if anyone would think that would be cool.
-Lets share some ideas here.

Do you mean something like, BoonEx. That is a facebook clone and is really easy to get rid of most of the links on top. It doesn't offer a channel.

There is also a youtube clone, V3-Beta - V3-Beta it is free.

To make it work I think you need the big names from youtube to also post. This will mean a partner program, but it will need to offer more in value than youtube is. I would think that the only way to actually compete is to get new bands in too. It will not be cheap either of them options.

I can learn the basics to design both of them if needed.

There is also a way of hiring somebody to do a system just for the site it will actually cost more than it might bring in, but we can then just sell it away if it doesn't work :P

hmm, im confused. you basically stated that the problem with youtube is songs are being muted, so I assumed you had a brilliant idea to work around that, if it is even still an issue. But now you are talking about news and obama and kids. to be honest, building a website does not require 5 people you have never met on the internet, you are just building a disaster. Find some close friends that you can meet with IN PERSON, and write a lengthy plan, you will learn just going through the process

Well of course I did not state the entire plan. I do have an idea for that, of course. To be honest I feel theres potential on the site and I would like to do something creative with people on it.

It's funny that you talk about bringing in bands. For the homepage I mentioned I would like to interview artists, and don't worry about how it will get done, i'll get it done. But anyway after an interview once we put it up on video we could have all theres song under a tab. Thus it would lift the copyright issue that Youtube has. Because obviously they would agree to have there songs shared on the site after they've met wit the site. I don't know its just an innovative idea as of now, still in the works. It advertising, news, media all rolled into one solution.
