Who uses Myspace to promote their site?

I'm interested to know - does it work?

I was able to generate a few sales per month using Myspace. It wasn't something I promoted often, but it's a very easy way to spread knowledge of your brand.

I use to do it quite a bit back in the day before they cracked down and made it harder. They are more on top of deleting accounts these days, so you need to be some-what conservative in your operations on myspace so you don't throw up red flags.

But its a great place to easily post your links and get a little bit of activity from.

I use it to push certain agendas. MySpace is more of a personal networking tool than a business networking tool. I use LinkedIn for professional networking (see my signature) so I try to keep more "sales" type posts out of MySpace...but every now and again I'll sneak something in there to spike some interest.

I'm with EDC, it's all about networking!

    www.myspace.com/goparranda

    i havent had any luck.
2 prospects but not any actual customer. I think it needs a lot of time.
I think you have to think like your customer does for them to actually want to stay and check your profile and really read what you have to say.

Thanks for the feedback - I've tried to find entrepreneurs on there too, but had no luck! Not sure I've been looking in the right areas.

Does anyone belong to a group on there? Is that effective?

it definetly works ... especially if you are popular ... u might try using a simple link to your business instead of a banner link ... i heard that myspace is cracking down on banner ads ...

    see ya at da top!

    Thanks -

Have you done this? Did you set up the link in the business area of the site?
