Question Which Search Engine is Best?

Microsoft has officially launched and promised to offer a different approach to delivering results. I've used it and like it so far - anyone else? Who uses Ask?
Or is Google still the winner?

Which search engine is best is really a matter of personal preference and opinion. But according to the August 2007, Nielson NetRatings, Google is far and away the most popular search engine...followed by Yahoo, which is technically a directory, not a search engine.

Anyway, I personally use Google and Yahoo for the majority of my searches.

Doesn't google have about 60% of the market? The number is somewhere around there. Thats pretty impressive with there being over 300 search engines.

Microsoft Live does appear to be growing pretty good though. I've seen a ton of hits from them to my website (Self Help & Success Forum) lately.

I use Google 99% percent of the time. If Live gets to be better, of course it will have its day.

Actually Google has 53.6% of the search market. This is a breakdown off the most popular search engines and their respective market share:

    Google: 53.6%
    Yahoo: 19.9%
    Microsoft: 12.9%
    AOL: 5.6%
    Ask: 1.7%

As you can see from the numbers, there are really on five search engines that matter.
