I think swimming and gym both are necessary for making our body fit and fine...

That's true. I'm a health buff myself and I do both swimming and hitting the gym. Not on the same day, though. The trick there is to have your muscles enjoy its sweet time recovering after your gym/swimming session. What I do is I alternate between the two. One day I'm going to the gym, the next day I'm swimming, never on the same day.

But in all honesty, I think my body has gone from an average ectomorph to somewhat athletic, and I attribute it mostly to swimming. You use up more of your muscles when you swim. Not sure about it, but I read somewhere that swimming is an all-around exercise.

My vote is for swimming, this is why because it make you fit as well and its a natural game. Gym some time have negative effect.
So we should to prefer bit lose over a big lose . Swimming is best exercise according to me at least one time in two days.

The gym. Think isometric exercises. Planks,Leg lifts, yoga, karate. All of these exercises help carve the body you want,if you are diligent and determined. It takes usually 60 days of workout in a gym to see results.

Depends on the person and his constitution. For example, if you have dry skin, swimming pool will not be the best decision. If you have troubles with your spine - swimming pool will be better cause all a load on your spine is minimal in water and can be substantial in a gym. So itīs up to you to decide.

Swimming will tone your body more than making you "buff"
