I think research is the biggest key....find out what is selling right now. See if you can develop a program or website to make it better than the other. Then of course you have promoting, press releases, all the norm for getting started with an online business.

    Good Luck to your success!!!

I'll put it to you straightforward. If you want to be rich, get a job if you don't have one already. Learn to budget your money, invest in your employer's 401(k) if they have one. When you have a good amount of cash saved up, maybe you'll want to do real estate and buy a home or two that you can rent out. Or maybe you want put some money in the stock market through value investing. Maybe Money Markets and CD's. There are tons of options.

Reading those books are a waste of time. All they'll do is improve your reading skills and give you high hopes. To be wealthy, start where you are, explore your immediate options, and take it step by step.

You'll be a millionaire before the majority of this forum.

Start right where you are standing and with what you've got at the moment (nothing is OK.)

Read books, talk to people, whatever- but don't think that one magic bullet is going to get it done. Whore yourself out to any situation that lends itself to learning. Make every penny that you can and save as much as you can. Don't delay, start NOW.

Reading is a major factor in anyone's success. It is rare to find someone who has reached any level of professional success without being an avid reader. But don't just read anything. Research the authors and read books written by people you respect and who have accomplished what you want in life. Many authors now are only successful because they are good authors, not because they had significant success from their own teachings. The "magic of thinking big" and "think and grow rich" are great books to get your thought process straight. At your age you should focus on reading things like this that address thought process and attitude. Get to work and do something. Big thinking and positive attitudes get you nowhere without action. Even wrong action is progress. At least you learn from a mistake. find you interests and passions and then focus on learning about that. if you want to be a computer programmer, learn everything you can about that. if you want to be a stock trader, read about investing. Good luck.

People encourage you to read books because the books help put you in the right frame of mind. Right now, your subconscious mind is preoccupied on your bank account and what is in it, (or lack thereof). Train your mind to see the opportunities in each area of your life. When you do that, it wont be long before you embrace them.
