Where do you do your Taxes?

Tax season is upon us! And this is the first year where I will have to file business taxes as well as my personal taxes. I have used turbo tax in the past, and was really disappointed with the results (they lost some of our paperwork and the IRS came after us, then Turbo Tax claimed we didn't file with them...) So I was curios if anyone could recommend a place to get your taxes done

I use H&R Block's TaxCut software - and so far, no problems. I'm pretty well-versed in accounting, so I'd rather do things myself than waste time going to someone else. When I get busier, I'll probably take my taxes somewhere else, but for now, I'm perfectly content doing them myself.

I am thinking that my first year I will be using H&R block. Then after that I plan on doing everything myself.

    Hi,

You can also use Exponent Free, our accounting software, which does your taxes for you in PDF format if you run an S Corporation (and you enter all of your transaction data accurately). Just visit:

    http://www.thinkcomputer.com

and sign up on the home page. Also, if you need a corporate credit card, feel free to support our efforts by clicking on one of the American Express ads in the software. It's the best free accounting software there is, and since it's all web-based, there's nothing to install.

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks,

I plan on using TaxBrain.com this year. They are new to the online game, but I checked out their cutsomer support (they have live chat while you do your taxes) and it seems pretty cool. I'm still awaiting my W2's but that is what I plan to use when I do get my W2.

I'll probably call H&R block this year. My first year with and LLC and a lot of small deductions that I would like to have taken off.

    TaxBrain was great

    Hey All--
Just thought I'd let you know I tried TaxBrain. I had thought about it and then I just filed today. The basic filing is free with a rebate if you buy it through shoptaxbrain, which is what I did.

I had some problems and needed help, but they have people on livechat so I was able to get all my questions answered and filed easily. I should have my refund in the next two days--pretty sweet.
