Where and how to manufacture items?

Good afternoon fellow entrepreneurs, I feel privileged to interact with such a knowledgeable and positive community in the aspects of business. Anyway, I have designed a back-pack that I will mass-produce. To whom do I go to for manufacturing? Companies from China are ideal since the material and labor cost will be fairly low.

I would suggest this. Google manufacturing associations for your industry. The purpose of these associations is to provide people like you informaiton and resources about there members - including manufacturers as well as industry sales reps (when it comes time to get your goods in the stores). They offer great information about how to go about finding and negotiating with other players.
