When to quit startup

Howard Morgan has a great post about CEOs getting fired.

It end with a killer observation that "...leaving at the right time is the mark of a great CEO".

thoughts??

Interesting read....that's one thing that's always worried me about going after VC funding. I'm the one who holds the idea, and I don't necessarily want to even serve as CEO, but how do I make sure I can stay on in a capacity large enough to help get the idea off the ground?
