Interesting thread! My perspective on this is a little different... I'm working a JOB to put my hubby through school, then he'll go get a JOB and I'll stay home with the kids and part-time the business. I plan on going full-time when either I can't keep up with it or hopefully when the kids are older. Eventually I'll be full time by the time they move out

I agree with this. Money and enjoyment should be the deciding factors.

When your business starts to make as much as your day job, then go for it. It's a risk, and that's what entrepreneurs are good at taking.

I heard it said once that you should always add before you subtract. I'll leave it to you to KNOW when the right time is to move forward. One thing I've learned over many years, is that when I stop thinking thinking thinking and do more "knowing" I do better for me and those around me.

It's time to go full-time when an entrepreneur has 12-18 months of living expenses stashed away in the bank.

We would love to hear from full-time entrepreneurs who have already made the plunge as well as part-time entrepreneurs who are hoping to go full-time in the near future.

Starting an online business is in these days. It also promises a better opportunity. Try to research the market first and look for a possible niche.

Also, prepare yourself to be the best that you can be.
