Yes, more moderation and a plan to combat all of the spam that has popped up recently.

I also think that removing the 5 post minimum before posting URL may actually help the site

Stop people from posting useless posts and then their site.

    What you think?

I'd love to see more serious and successful entrepreneurs in this forum. "Real entrepreneurs." There are far too many wannabe entrepreneurs here. Stop pretending to be entrepreneurs, and stop faking! I know who's real and who isn't. You're not fooling anybody but yourself. Go out there and accomplish something great, like Matthew & Adam Toren.

The website is called Young Enterpreneur. But where are they? Where are all the successful young entrepreneurs? I don't see them. I'd love to be able to interview someone on this forum, other than Matthew & Adam. I really would. But I can't, because no one stands out. Where's the ambition? Where's the burning desire to excel? I take business and entrepreneurship seriously. I don't see a lot of that here. There's too much fun and games. Make money first, and then play! Accomplish something!

In the words of Nike...just do it!

I agree. Lately I've been seeing posts from members who clearly do not take their business seriously. One notable example is a post that said "How build business". I think we should expect more from our members.

    Thumbs up Definitely!

Thanks for all of the feedback guys!

Yes, we are currently working on a new site, with a lot more features that will drive the success stories to our site. As a matter of fact, we are working on a handful of tools which will enable our members to network a lot more effectively and efficiently with those that are the veteran entrepreneurs that are looking forward to sharing their thoughts, advice etc.

We are looking for more dedicated mods that can help us keep the spam posts off this site completely. Our current mods are doing a good job but as the site traffic grows, so do the posts from the spammers.

If you notice any spam, feel free to flag it or PM me directly and it will be removed and the user banned!

PM me with your interest in helping mod. We are looking for some dedicated members.

Thanks for the feedback as we have been keeping very detailed notes on all of the emails, comments and feedback. We are excited to unveil the new and improved YE 3.0 this summer!

Less posts with the subject "Sugar tits" would be fantastic.

LOL. I tried to berate the guy who posted that one. I think I did a fair job; not too over the top or anything. Then, of course, the guy PMs me an apology. Here was his rationale for it:

Sorry for the offense, Your right desperate, and I have posted my idea before, but the thing is, is that its too new, and no one wants to help me because of that. Someone has to do it first though right? With much respect, Im sorry for the title, I just am really frustrated because i cant find anyone. Its really hard trying to get someone to hear me out. Understand that Im trying to launch a business, and with the Profits I want to use for the world. To help people that need help you know? Its like its so easy to do something negative, but so hard to try to do something big and positive, why is that? Anyways I dont mean to ramble Im just trying to say Im sorry. More importantly the question should be focused on weather you may be interested in working with me. Or maybe it is the reason why you are reading this now. Write back -mark

And back to me now: So, basically, the guy came on YE looking for some startup cash ($25k to be exact) and didn't get enough attention from his previous posts about his halfbaked idea. So what does he do? In his moment of desperation, he posts a similar request, but with the title Sugar Tits. And then has the balls to ask me if I'm reading his apology because I want to work with him! I already berated him publicly for his little attempt at getting people to read his post; why would anyone possibly think I'd then want to invest in his idea??

Definitely need more moderation at YE. Definitely.

I do think there are a lot of wanna-be entrepreneurs on this site. For some of us it is annoying to be bombarded with the same start-up questions about business we know will never happen, but at the same time I feel like there should be a place for them on the site as well. They may not be successful entrepreneurs yet, but they are trying to be. They are coming here for information they were not able to find elsewhere, and are hoping some of us here can help them. So although we may not have time for such ridiculous questions, to them our help may be the thing that gets the ball rolling for their business, or maybe the common sense to see they need a much better business plan then they already have. I know when I first started on this site I had a million questions that now 8 mos. later when I look back are silly...I had no idea about anything, and basically jumped into my business head first without learning everything I needed to. This site has definitely help me out along the way of discovering how to effectively run my store. In addition to my rant above...I've notice how most of you have stressed the need for more serious, business related posts. I know recently I have made many non-business related post in the lounge, so please let me know if these offend you in anyway, and take away my credibility. I have grown fond of this site, and check it on a daily basis. There are just some days when I've had enough with the "please review my site" posts, and feel the site may need a little something to stir up a good convo. But like I said, please let me know if you feel like they do not belong on this site.

Who cares if you post off topic as long as it's in the off topic section. Don't worry about it!
