    Whats your POSITION??

    We're working on our business cards:

    I'm wondering what everyone has put down as their positions on their business cards, even though most of is in here are:

    founder/ceo/partner/accountant/sales excutive/CEO/CFO/CIO/CTO/CMO all at once.

    Is it a good idea to put that you are a partner/founder or use a "generic" position like "accountive executive"?

    The owner of Facebook used to have his cards titled "I'm CEO... Bitch"

    Heh...

    Personally I like the catch all "Principal". It basically says "I started this thing"

    Cheers,

    Hey Nadi, you made me reconsider my position and i did a search on google for 'interesting job titles'

    Anyway here are some cool titles that i found that ...the top person at yahoo calls himself "Chief Yahoo" a "Persuasion Architect" if you are a copywriter... don't you think those are much better than just the plain ones people use all the time?

    Anyone else have an interesting title you would like to share?

    I put 'Owner/Founder' on my business cards. I run a serious business and don't find some of those more playful titles to be as respectful to the person you're doing business with.

    Even though I'm 50/50 owner, I opted for "Creative Director"

    I hear that's an urban legend (it wouldn't surprise me though - Mark Zuckerberg plays by HIS rules).

    We don't want to put founder/principal/partner on our cards... because we don't want people to know we're the owners.

    She was thinking President of Marketing and President of Operations.

    I Like the alternate angle, i just don't want the creative names for typical positions to get lost in translation.

    call me old fashioned but i dont like the idea of those playful ones at all. business is always serious. and i also dont like putting "founder" on it either.

    i use "CEO" personally. i find that the best way to go.

    I suggest you put something to grab the persons attention! Why? Perfect example of the founder of facebook when used to have his cards titled "I'm CEO... Bitch" (thanks dave for providing the example) because, people look at them when their given them usually but if you have something like that example, then they will look at it again and again and tell people about your business. Then word-of-mouth kicks in and before you know it you have a hype around your business and you are getting some nice business coming your way

    Heh... If you're looking for something more unique, you might try something like this:

    CEO = "Cheif Chaos Starter"
    CFO = "Head Number Cruncher"
    CTO = "The Head Computer Guy (Gal)"
    CMO = "Lead Attention Getter"
    COO = "Person Actually Responsible for Getting Stuff Done"

    Just some ideas.

    Cheers,
