I'll start myself, I have a shoe Company and work with an SEO Company.
My advise would be Focus/Motivation/Schedule as they go hand in hand. Stay focused, stay motivated and keep to a strict schedule.

12 year old online events company. Advice would be to plan for the short, medium and long term.

I have a web development freelancing business that I work on a part-time basis. In my opinion, it's a successful business because it gave me many interesting opportunities, experience, and enough profit to finance my aspirations.

My advise is that a happy customer is the best marketing you could ever hope to get. Treat your customers like they're golden, and you'll never have to hunt for clients.
