    What's a better sub header

    for my site.

http://www.burntheships.org : when success is the only option
    http://www.burntheships.org : social network for the go-getters

the first one doesn't describe what the site is, so it could draw traffic in because the line is some what catchy

the second one is pretty much a description of the site, but it might not have the pizzaz to hook some one into clicking it.

What is your opinion on the approach I should take with this one?

Coming from a marketing perspective, I would vote for the second option purely based on the fact that it:

    1) Tells what kind of site it is

    2) "Go-getters" Identifies a personality trait that will attract a quality type of audience.

It could use a little work I suppose, but it seems to be the most effective choice.

thanks, I stuck with "The Social Network for the Go-Getter" . The site has been around for about 2 months now and traffic has gone up 3000% month over month, we are getting about 1.2k page views a day. Thanks for your advice.

Yeah I would also suggest going for the second option mainly because I like to be concise when marketing to people (especially since less and less of people have time to read almost anything). Be concise and to the point with your marketing campaigns so this is great since it describes as well as attracts users at the same time. Good luck!
