Open a brokerage account, apply for margin so you don't have to wait 3 days between trades for your cash to settle, and learn to trade stocks and options. Make sure you study hard and know what you are doing before trying this though. High risk but high reward if you are good.

Unless you are able to provide some type of service, or can manufacture something useful, your only option is to sell something.

Buy wholesale, then sell on ebay or through some other channel.

But I think it might be wrong to expect that $1500 will produce alot of $$$$.

Myself, I have $900 to play with, and am buying books to sell. I am aiming to make 20%, maybe even 30%.

    Good luck!

Definitely use it to try something in business. You can't lose, even if you don't make money because you will have learned a lot.

Take a look on sitepoint you can find some already established sites in a wide spectrum of services/products that are already producing revenue for that amount of money and some good site.

I agree don't start on the web but expand to the web later, and if you do start on-going company make sure you have a unique name and buy the domain for it too.

I would find a network marketing product and company that I could stand behind. Something I enjoy using and sharing with others. By the way... I didn't even have the $455 it cost to start the business which in a year and a half has become family's livelihood!

You don't have to re-invent the wheel, just find your passion and share it with others. No inventory, insignificant overhead, and a business model which requires personal development. For a few hundred dollars, you can infinitely increase your income potential with Network Marketing!
