    What to start with 10K?

I am experience developer and SEO engineer. I have 10K to start a business. Been thinking on keeping the money on my field but here are the problems:

1)Too many canned SEO people out there to compete with.
2)Too many lazy people flooding this market.
3)Been in this all my career, I don't want to keep proving I am the best.

    I was thinking on:
    1) Tire Center
    2) Cash Checking
    3) Flower Shop
    4) Liquor Store

Any ideas? I am looking for a stable business to build up, and have 10K to do it.

    Thank you.

You're going to need more then 10K to start up a brick and mortar storefront such as the 4 ideas you mentioned. The problem with a brick and mortar start up is it is extremely capital intensive, just by signing a lease to rent a property you are committing to a great deal of money. If the business does not succeed you are still committed to that lease. Then you need cash for the inventory and overhead items. And jumping into a new business that you don't have experience in is very risky when you are talking about significant start up costs.

Find something you are knowledgeable about or enjoy doing and try making a business online at first. This will give you some valuable experience at a fraction of the cost.

I have a couples ideas for online. I am currently moving one forward, but I am thinking on also working something where you have direct contact with people.

    Technology - check.
    Knowledge - check.
    Experience - check.
    Network - check.

Take out a 100k loan and buy a established business that is already making money. However i wouldn't start or buy a business until we get out of the economic slowdown.

Ps. I like the liquor store idea, since more people are losing there homes you can expect steady growth of homeless drunks.
