Lightbulb What stops businesses from getting a website?

Hello all,

In a world where websites are business cards of the 21st century, why is it that many businesses don’t have their own websites?

My company is on a mission to make it easy for businesses to get powerful websites, and I would welcome any thoughts or suggestions on how we could make it easier. Thank you!

A good question, ive seen some of the smallest companys have a website, even if it was just about who they are, what they do and where they are, its still more effective than bigger companys who dont have a website..online presence!

I personally believe that businesses with no website are missing out on a whole lot of market. If you only rely on your local establishment, you'll only benefit from local sales. But when you put your business on the web, you can serve other clients/customers wherever they may be. That depends of course if your product or services is applicable to non-local market.

Thank you, those are good points.

This brings up the question - if many business owners don’t spend that much time online or aren’t aware of the benefits of getting a website, what could be a cost-effective way to reach them?

For example, online ads may not work if they don’t go online much, or haven’t even considered looking into it.
