Question What questions does one ask when testing a market online?

I'm wondering what the community has to say about testing markets online. I've been working on a list of questions that, while not totally definitive, would make up a good starting point for someone looking to make sure that they're not going into dead waters.

I have a few questions in mind already, for example:
    - How to products in this market rank on ClickBank?
    - Are your keywords doing well on Google?
    - Are there successful competitors already doing well in this market?

I'm rather new here and any help would be very much appreciated!

Study the market that you have chosen and ask yourself if there is anything in that market that is lacking, and if there is anything that you can do to fix it.

My suggestion would be to analyze the type of buyer in the market and what kind of person you're looking to sell to.

    For example,
What is the average age range of the potential buyer in the specific market?
What is their average yrly salary and what % of that is spending money?
Why are they looking to buy? Hobby/career/knowledge?
What do they typically do online?
What kind of worries or concerns to do they have, in life? (what keeps them up at night) With making purchases? Within this niche?

Getting to know the profile of your potential customers will help you decide if this is the right niche for you, and it will help you in tayloring your products and their prices.
